Degan Pantry Makeover – Before and After

When you have a multi-use pantry that the entire family goes in and out of all day, it can get disorganized fast, especially without a designated space for everything.

By paring down the excess (don’t be ashamed – we ALL have a few extra spices we never use that expired a year ago and we’re still holding on to) and picking up the containers that work best for your family’s needs, you will find the most trafficked room in the house is also the most organized!

When I stepped into the pantry I could immediately see the opportunities and knew that my client just needed some tweaks to make the space more usable.

In just one session we were able to make a big difference for this family!

If you’re ready to get started on your own pantry at home, here are my three top tips:

  1. Invest in CLEAR containers that match. Then add labels. A cohesive look adds to the organized feel in the space.
  1. Label your shelves as well as your containers so that everything goes back to the right spot once it has been used.
  2. If you have little ones, ensure you have a lower shelf where you can stock their (healthy1) favorites for easy grab and go snacks all in one spot – without any fighting!
